There is a reason we recycle items like plastic, glass, and aluminium. Because in the natural environment they do not breakdown quickly.

In an article on Stacker.com, they share details of these items. Aluminium cans will start to breakdown after 80–100 years and will take centuries to decompose completely. Plastic bottles can take over 450 years. With glass being estimated at 1 million years to naturally decompose. (source)

But there are still may who live among us who believe these things take care of themselves. That throwing a can out the window of the car is the right thing to do. That hiding a glass bottle in a bush means out of sight, out of mind.

So over the past few years, collecting these discarded recyclables has become my hobby. Last month, I offered an insight into my habit of collecting and today I want to share an update on my goal.
