I Achieved A 1,000 Day Steak of Reaching My Daily Step Goal

Daily achievements slowly add up to significant milestones.

How do you walk 15,000 steps per day?

Simple! You put one foot in front of the other 15,000 times.

The process is simple and repetitive, but when you repeat something enough, you can achieve much more. Here, repeating that simple daily goal, on the 1st of June 2022, I have been able to achieve a daily streak of 1,000 days.

This started back in 2019, on the 6th of September. The previous day I missed my daily goal by just 233 steps, walking just 14,767 steps. However, every day since I have met my goal and walked 15,000 steps or more. Helping me to reach this milestone.

Daily Walking Streaks

This is not the first time I have reached a significant milestone for continuous days walking 15,000 steps. Since I started with my daily walking goal on the 23rd of July, 2015, I have reached milestones on three other occasions.

The first was on the 20th of August, 2016, when I reached a 392 day streak. This streak started on the 23rd of July, 2015. Initially, I planned to do a 30 day challenge and walk 15,000 steps each day. This resulted from a challenge to stay consistent on a goal of…
