I find it intriguing how he will write an article about how it feels dirty, but still uses the feature anyway. I find it the same as people who complain about others writing about Medium, but they write a story to tell us that. I am a fan of both referrals and tipping. I personally would have implemented the tipping feature a little differently if I was Medium. Such as keeping it on the platform, but this is a good step in the right direction.
