I suspect your thoughts on the earnings and speed of results could be a big contributing factor.
I look back over the past 20 years and the different platforms and approaches I have taken to writing and they are so all over the place. I would probably be set for life now if I had kept at one project/platform. Instead of moving around from one blog to another and then finding a different platform. I am now trying to stick to Medium, although I have been here for over two years now I have been far from consistent. But that is changing now.
