I think any platform where certain metrics are desirable and potentially able to influence the algorithm this is going to happen. I receive somewhat regular DM’s on Instagram offering X followers for $, and the like. But reality is that no matter how much fake engagement or followers you buy, the income you earn will never cover it and never sustain it in the long term.
