Facebook has made it incredibly easy to start your own group and build a community around any interest. With an existing Facebook account, it takes under 30 seconds to create a new group.

Once you have a group established, there is an entire list of duties for group admins to perform if they want an engaged audience. It starts with finding new members to join the community. Accepting and welcoming these new members if you have member approval turned on. While also moderating posts and comments, attempting to keep the group on topic and of a friendly nature.

You have the choice for an open or closed approach to group administration. Until now, the choice has required a similar amount of time either way from the group admin and moderators. The addition of Admin Assist to the tools a group admin has available can help to save time moderating posts.
