Writing With Pen And Paper
Adding a physical, tactile experience to writing.
Today I would like to share something with you from a slightly different approach. The piece itself describes a little of the process, but I will share more at the end.
It is a pleasant Autumn evening, and I have returned to sit by the harbour. The glow of the sun lingers on the horizon with a few small fluffy grey clouds floating across the sky.
The stars are slowly popping out with Venus “The Evening Star” the first and most prominent. The reflections of all above appearing in the water below.
Today I have taken a different approach, though. Instead of taking notes in my phone and almost disconnecting from the real world, I have taken to pen and paper.
The pen is something I always have with me. I cannot even remember when or why the habit begun. But there is always one or more pens in my man bag.
On the other hand, they are often of little use to me. It must be months since I carried even a piece of paper, let along a notebook.
To resolve this, I took a detour via the supermarket before reaching the harbour. I spent more time than I care to share inspecting the various options for notebooks.
